I just found out I’m pregnant. I’ve had a blood test and it’s come back saying I’m somewhere between 3-4weeks so I am very early. However, I am bleeding. It feels like a proper period I have the pain and I’m bleeding a lot. Anyone had this experience and the pregnancy has still been viable? I have to get another blood test tomorrow to see if the hcg levels have gone up.
With my first pregnancy I found out early but I felt pregnant, this time round I don’t feel pregnant at all

I had the exact same thing happen a couple months ago (also my second pregnancy). I thought implantation bleeding at first but sadly I miscarried. My doctor was concerned about ectopic which thankfully it wasn’t but something to consider 😢
That said I’ve read cases where women had more bleeding than normal for implantation and had a viable pregnancy. Fingers crossed for you!!🤍

3-4 weeks is very early for blood tests, my Dr waits until you’re a few days passed your missed your period. Do you think you are only 3-4 weeks or could your HCG levels be tracking low? Assuming you’ve googled is so you know implantation bleeding is pink/brown and 1-2 days and a period is more red blood etc. Fingers crossed for you🤞 hope the next lot of blood tests show elevated HCG levels.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this! It must be super stressful. I went through something similar a few months ago, where I tested positive on a home pregnancy test and the next day started spotting (which I convinced myself was implantation bleeding) and eventually bleeding heavily (like a very heavy period). My hcg declined and it was put down to a chemical pregnancy as I was only 4+1 weeks when the bleeding started. The only way to know if a pregnancy is indeed viable is to have your hcg levels taken regularly - every 1-2 days. 3-4 weeks pregnant would be too early to have an ultrasound. Having been through a mid pregnancy loss as well, I found the chemical pregnancy very triggering and distressing. Unpacking my feelings with my husband, getting outside into the sunshine, walking and maintaining routine and regularity really helped me get through the awfulness. I hope you’re able to get the answers you need quickly and whatever the outcome feel supported.
hi Jess
Thank you for sharing your story. I had a blood test yesterday and confirmed I was pregnant and that my hcg levels were showing only being 3-4weeks. I am going for another blood test tomorrow and will get my results on Monday to see if they have gone up to see whether the pregnancy is viable and if the bleeding is ok.

Thinking of you, it certainly isn’t easy waiting for answers. Sending you hope and strength in this time of anxiety. And if you need someone to share with, my inbox is open 💛

I found out at 7 weeks that I was pregnant and had what I thought was a normal period with cramping 4 weeks prior. Dr didn’t seem overly concerned about it when I discussed it, just sent me for bloods and ultrasound. The pregnancy was fine and bub was born healthy. Fingers crossed for you
