Is this eczema?

My little one has had a rash for a couple weeks and it seems to be getting worse. Anyone know what this is and how to help it?

We have similar! I thought eczema at first but now I'm not too sure

It could be eczema, but if your little one has been really hot and sweaty the last few weeks it could be a sweat rash, or if their shirt is wet it could be from where their shirt is wet rubbing on the skin

it’s definitely been really hot the last few days so that could explain why it’s worse but today was back to cooler weather. He doesn’t usually have a wet shirt near his tummy. Could it have something to do with the nappy do you think?

@Cassy it could be from the nappy. There are so many things it could be, but mostly looks like a rash that is similar to what my daughter had from sweating amd being hot

My girl has slightly similar - on her belly and legs. The skin feels rough and looks red at times. I think it's from the weather changing and getting slightly warmer - maybe sweat rash - but I really have no idea 🤦🏽‍♀️

My 4m old daughter also has the same thing currently on her belly. Not sure what it is. We were thinking heat rash from changes in temperature but unsure. We got some cream from the doctor that didn’t work

My son has had this since birth… at first it was caused by cows milk allergy (I couldn’t breastfeed) so we switched to vegan formula and it resolved!

However, it definitely comes back on a hot day (we live in Netherlands now) or I stupidly put shampoo in a bath with him for fun and it flared up after this too 😥 Their skin is still so sensitive at this age it really can be anything..

I found the Dermaveen baby oat cream from Woolies works a charm!

Could be Cows Milk Protein Intolerance

Is it dry/rough to touch? It looks like eczema. I’ve found with my children eczema has been due to allergies. My eldest had alot of allergies one being cows milk protein. I’ve cut out dairy with my girl who’s EBF and her eczema has since settled.

it was dry and a little rough to touch. It’s now nowhere near as bad now that the weather has cooled right down! I have bought eczema cream which I’ll try to prevent it happening again
