Does anyone know what kind of rash is this?
Hi, so when I bathed my little girl last night I noticed this rash all over her belly and chest, back of her neck, armpits and feet.
I don’t what could of caused it. I don’t think its an allergic reaction as she didn’t have anything new to eat.
Has anyone’s baby ever had this or knows what could it be?
I rang the GP but didn’t have any appointments available left for today…

Do the glass test and if it’s all right, just wait a few days to see how it goes - unless baby has any other symptoms or feeling unwell.
My LO had a full body skin condition seemingly out of the blue in April - the GP said it’s baby eczema and gave us steroid cream which I never used as I believe it’s just stated to treat the root cause.
Skin issues almost always occur due to gut issues- I give my baba lots of meat stock, fermented vegetables, probiotics.
You can try oat bath too.
I know it can be distressing and overwhelming trying to figure out the cause and how to treat it.

Looks like a viral rash
My little boy had a viral infection last week and he always seems to get these type of rashes for a couple of days
thank you for your advise. I don’t think it’s itchy, it doesn’t seem to bother her. What is the glass test? I never heard of it x
press a glass against her skin - if the rash disappears underneath than it’s fine, if it doesn’t, you should take baba to see a doctor or A&E
she has cold, its been a few day now but she doesn’t have a fever. The only thing is that she doesn’t really want to eat proper food, just her bottles which is weird because she loves food. And last night she cried during the whole bath which is something she never does because she enjoys bath time x
have you been to the doctor? Did they give him anything? I hope he’s better x
the only rash she ever had was under the chin and on her cheek because of dribble and a bit of eczema. Is you baby okay now? How long did it last? X
My little boy was off his food as well with this, slept loads and generally unhappy boy for about a week. He didn't have a fever, this rash lasted a few days for him and now he's fine again x

my girl is the same, only wants her bottle but won’t finish it and she sleeps loads. If doesn’t go by Monday i will take her to the doctors and see what they tell us x
