Does anyone else get overstimulated/frustrated when bubs starts crying (due to reasons you can't fully help with, e.g, teething pain) and you're in the middle of something?
I was doing the dishes today while bubs was chillin with some toys then she started screaming and I had a few things left so I was quickly trying to do them before going over and I just got really over stimulated and ended up half yelling "enough" just out into the air... I felt horrible after, I know I shouldn't get upset, she can't help it, I just get really overstimulated sometimes... does this happen to anyone else, or am I just a bad mum? đđȘ

I canât tell you how often Iâve felt like this. Sometimes I end up feeling like I need to just like yell out or yell into like a pillow to calm down. Youâre not a bad mom, sometimes things just get overwhelming and it is our initial response to that.

You're definitely not alone. I have a friend whose 1 year old won't let her have a second to herself & she usually reacts like that too. It's a lot & I dunno how I'm gonna cope when my lil one arrives cuz I love my alone time lol

Iâve done this. I have 5 kids. At night after work and the 4 oldest are in bed I try to get stuff done like dishes and laundry and my 2 month old baby girl will start to cry for seemingly no reason and I try to get stuff done quick so that when Iâm done I can go hold her and lay down with here to comfort her and rest my back but she will be crying and crying and I get frustrated and I yell âenoughâ âplease stop cryingâ âhold onâ and then I feel bad obviously because sheâs just a baby and canât help it at all.
