Choking/Coughing on milk

My LO is 4 weeks tomorrow and is EBF, he spits up milk quite a lot and sometimes hours later after feeding. But he also has been coughing/choking after feeding, but again, not for sometime after, it’s not straight after feeding… but it’s so scary seeing him/hearing him. Any suggestions?

Gagging, choking is a blocked airway.

Reflux & it’s perfectly normal

That’s what would happen with my son and I would always do what his pediatrician recommended; sitting him up while he eats, burp him before switching breasts, have him at in inclined while he sleeps and nothing would really help, finally I told his pediatrician that nothing is working and he keeps choking and come to find out we all have a thing that blocks our food and liquids in between our esophagus and stomach and my sons at the time was super little and that’s why he was spitting up and choking so much because it wasn’t blocking the milk from coming back up, it fixed itself as he grew up thankfully but I know my SIL had something like that when she was a baby and needed to have surgery so I would definitely recommend going to his pediatrician and ask to check your LO cause it could be something that’ll fix on it’s own or it could be a little more severe and need surgery

It could be you have a heavy letdown or a good supply and baby is overeating.
