My baby has pretty bad baby eczema on her face and neck. Her doctor recommended we try aquafor baby lotion/ointment. However we are a little short on money right now, and we already have aquafor baby diaper rash paste, the kind that soothes prevents and heals. Would this be safe to try on her baby eczema or would it be better to bite the bullet and buy the normal lotion? I’m not sure if there’s a big difference in the two products but don’t want to make her skin worse either

I probably wouldn’t just because the active ingredients are different. And I would be worried about cross contamination since you use it on her butt

I forgot to mention the diaper rash cream we already have is unopened!

I probably still wouldn’t because of the ingredients. You don’t necessarily have to buy the baby aquaphor. The regular one is the exact same and you can buy it in a super small tube to save some money

thank you! I’ll probably do that then

or return the diaper rash cream for a regular aquafor lol it works great on diaper rash too once her eczema rash clears up

even better idea!!

Ehhh eczema skin is better off receiving something moisturizing. So I’m not sure I’d use diaper rash cream on it.

I tried it last week and it works for a bit but then it comes back right after … I think it might of made it worse so I stopped

Our pediatrician recommended using 1% hydrocortisone cream and then on top of it use auquphor 1-2 times a day for a max of 2 weeks. It works wonders!

Girl it’s totally fine my doctor told me I can put that on my child’s face just a little tho
