I’m looking for something with an eerie vibe with little to no gore. I read the woman in black and it was the perfect vibe, the fog and the overall creepy feel of it, but not enough happened for me to enjoy it.

I’ve seen that in a lot of book rec videos on Instagram but the cover is so pretty I didn’t think it was horror!

Books by Joe Hill

I tried to read Heart Shaped Box years ago and ended up falling asleep every time so I didn’t finish it. Is it worth another shot? It’s sitting on my shelf.

@S.G. try nos4a2. That creeped me out and I'm the type to rationalise everything with science lol

Awesome, thank you! I have a pretty high tolerance for horror when it comes to movies, although these days I can’t stomach the gore of Saw movies I used to love. But I love anything with a creepy vibe that’ll scare a normal person.

@S.G. content warning it involves children

Oh. That’s a tough one. Thanks for the warning.

Have you read any Stephen king?

Tried to read Carrie in highschool and was bored to death with how wordy it was. The amount of inner dialogue bothered me so I assumed all his books were that way.

I really like Stephen king but I’ve never read Carrie sonic ant compare that to his others. I love the long walk and cell.

I’ll look into those. Thank you!

“Im thinking of ending things” is very eerie, no gore; “The Only Good Indians” is very eerie and unique, its probably the best horror book Ive ever read!

You've Been Warned - James Patterson. It's super weird, confusing, and creepy

Thank you!

I really liked Eight Perfect Murders

Old skool Dean Koontz is a good example 😊

love dean koontz!
