Increasing supply - pumping

Due to blood loss during labour I didnt breastfeed or pump until I was 4 days post partum. I'm averaging 1- 1 1/2 oz a pump per 4 hours. How do I increase my supply as I'm aware as baby is nesrlyn1 week she will start to want more soon. I'm still having to supplement with formula.

I've heard porridge is apparently good to help but I've never done it before as I only found out this time I'm pregnant it's suppose to help. Before with my older children I use to massage my breast before I fed baby or expressed and that help a little x

How long are you pumping for? I personally find pumping for 30 minutes empties me fully and then my body will work to fill back up because it thinks it's not producing enough, I do 15 on massage and 15 on pump and that works well for me or even a hand held pump with the quick quick long pump method x *edit I'm 5 days pp and also hemorrhaged*

@Theresa around 15 minutes a side but i feel like my milk stops coming after 10...do you still keep pumping even when it seems like it has stopped?

@Samantha so you get multiple let downs, when you feel it's stopped then you switch to massage mode to stimulate another let down and once you get a let down you switch back to regular pumping

@Sam no baby wont latch. Im aiming for.ebery 2-3hrs nownand 2 pumps at night. Did notice i got more at 4am now I know why thank you!

@Theresa didnt know that thank you very much i will try that during next pump

@Samantha Don't forget lots and lots of water and protein in your diet too!
