Is this normal?

I took a test on Friday (12dpo) and there was a faint line so I took a digital with the same urine and there was also a faint line. I have tested am and pm the whole weekend (as you do) and it has been the same faint line - it hasn’t gotten any darker. I was due AF on sat/sun (usually clockwork) and it hasn’t come so I tested again this morning and it’s still a faint line. I thought it would have gotten darker from Friday to Monday? Is that normal in very early pregnancy? Today would be 15dpo.

Normally there should be line progression. A good line progression should be every 48 hours. Do you happen to have pictures of the tests to show? Sometimes you don’t think it’s darker yourself but others can see it x

@Natalie I can definitely see lines on some of them. It could be that you’re still super early, you might’ve ovulated later. If you weren’t tracking. If it’s possible, give your GP a call and ask for bloods. Explain you’ve had faint positives but they’re not getting darker and you’re concerned. Hopefully they’ll do them for you! I’d probably wait another 2 days to test again on top of that to see if there is any progress from there x

Thank you so much Samantha, I really appreciate your advice - it’s such a worrying time and especially when you want it so badly! X

@Natalie it really is! TTC is such a hard time and these sorts of things just don’t make it any less stressful. I hope you get the results you want 🤞🏼 x

Thank you!!!

@Yasmin it’s not ovulation tests that she has unfortunately. On the pre mom app, it doesn’t do this with pregnancy tests

Update: I did a clear blue today and the line was very clear but very faint on the Premom strip again then at around 9:30am I started bleeding and by midday I have bad cramping and very clotty dark red bleeding, I’m guessing this is a chemical.

@Natalie aww no I’m sorry to hear that 😞

Thank you, we have to stay positive - definitely lost half my body weight in tears but hopefully next time will be for the win!
