Cold sore
My baby has a cold at the minute and I’ve just noticed he has a cold sore on his lip. I’m absolutely gutted that at 4 months old he already has a cold sore. Can’t even think where it’s come from as we haven’t been round anyone who’s got one. Has anyone else’s little one got/had a cold sore already? 😢😢

Hope your little one has recovered okay cold sores are tricky as they are contagious before they blister or scab people that suffer will have a tingle or a burning feeling 24/48 hours before and they can pass it on then so it’s tricky when with family or friends as one might not be visible
I have suffered with cold sores all my life since I was little my aunty passed it on to me 😩 I am currently reading these threads trying to put my mind at easy as I have developed a scab on my lip ‘not sure if it’s a cold score or not’ my 5 month old is in the grabby phase and has cut my nose with his nails so hoping he just caught my lip too but I’m terrified I might have passed it to him if it is one as he keeps grabbing my face 😢
