Mothers who have children with eczema or who have eczema themselves: how is your experience using Aquaphor? I'm thinking of ordering but it's quite expensive where I live. I currently use Aveeno nighttime eczema balm for my baby which is good. I've also heard of Tubby todd but with shipping its almost $50 for a jar. Is Aquaphor better than plain old Vaseline?

Hey mama! I would personally not use aquaphor!! I have not heard good things about it! Both of my babies have had severe ezcema and I will say the thing that helped the most is vanicream!! And make sure you don’t use dyes/fragrances etc with bath products or laundry stuff etc!!
If you have any other questions, please let me know, happy to give you what has worked for us!!
We did try tubby Todd and it helped a tiny bit but ours was pretty severe so it didn’t do much!

I used aquaphor on my baby for a bit and it just flared her up even more . Same thing with Vaseline and coconut oil .
Aveeno nighttime was our first choice but Tubby Todd is truly the only thing that’s worked .

Tubby Todd is the only thing that works for us!

Aquaphor did nothing for us! If anything made it worse…. 10/10 recommend tubby tod all over ointment! It did wonders for my 2 year old as well as myself!

Aquaphor is the only thing that worked for eczema for me and my baby! We use it religiously

Tubby Todd !

I don’t use neither of those but I use this cream made with neem and it does wonders

Definitely wouldn’t use aquaphor. I use Aveeno for sensitive skin on my kids and that works wonders for us or aveeno eczema baby cream also was great when they were babies

what's the cream called?

Aquaphor is my baby best friend when I see any flare ups he has i put aquaphor multiple times a day and also works on my nephew too who recently has eczema too
I wanted to love aveeno nighttime eczema balm but it didn’t help at all

Aquaphor worked for my son. People laugh about how shiny he is some days but I don't care as long as his skin looks healthy. Tubby Todd didn't work for me. Made it worse. I ended up giving it away which was a waste of money.

We love aquaphor over here! My sons dr prescribed a steroid cream and told us to put that our another moisturizer on after we apply the cream, and it worked great! I especially like using it on him before bed, it does wonders to the skin overnight! But I see that others here have had different experiences, so it sounds like you'll have to see for yourself. Everyone's skin is different!

Aquaphor is definitely not a good choice for eczema. I bought exederm and it works great.
