@Margaret thanks. I was panicking I had kicked my breast milk into production, and gone beyond my colostrum reserves. But I know milk won't come in until baby is here, but still had a wee panic when I was covered in colostrum after 2 mins 😅
I was the same...37 weeks. Been managing it really well with diet. And apparently our bodies and babies have no idea we have GD if bloods are good. I've spoken to s few doulas, I reached out to Shellie Poulter @thesereniydoula she has a great 2 hour lecture om the topic with great discussions with other mums at the end. She was so helpful and supportive. I also wanted a home birth but as this is our first I'm not sure I'm confident enough to fight the consultants on it all. Bur we've compromised on a home from home water birth. With minimal monitoring. We'll labour as much as possible at home before going to hospital. Don't panic it's really not the big scary thing they make it out to be. And big babies were being birthed naturally for decades, plus the scans at this late stage are so inaccurate, trust your instincts and read and research as much as possible. There's a really good 2 part podcast by the the Midwifes Cauldron all about the research, or lack there of. Knowledge is power, you got this mama!! ❤️
I’ve had the same (39+1) but it’s completely fine! Your body just makes more! There will be enough when baby comes, it’s not a limited amount :)
