Child care at 6 months?
Does anyone know if I can get help with childcare as early as 6 months? My plan is to go back to work when my baby is 6 months as being a single parent and only on maternity allowance I just can’t afford to be off!

Yes you can receive help with childcare costs from universal credit, maybe use the entitled to calculator online to see how many days at nursery/work is best, I work 2 days currently and adding a 3rd wouldn’t make me better off until I get free nursery hours for my son xx

On UC? Tax free childcare? Yes you can from 6 weeks old

to have 85% off your child care paid you would need to be on UC so you might be better off dropping hours or going back part time
