Rant

OK, I just need to rant because I have no friends that I can rant to. My husband doesn't work so he's got no reason to be out of the house 24/7. I don't mind him going out but hes always finding a reason to leave the house so I'm on my own with out 2 year old and 4 year old. When he is home all he does is sit on his phone or does dome DIY which again, I don't mind but then he loses it when one of our kids tries to pick up one of his tools up or gets in his way. We've been arguing a lot because I feel like a married single mum and all he likes to do is tell me everything I'm doing wrong as a mum. I already feel like I'm a terrible mum half the time because I lose my patience really fast with them and give them phones and some food to go to bed with so I can have some time to myself otherwise they would never go to sleep. I just feel like everything I do is wrong with him and my kids and I don't know how to keep doing it

Have you spoken to him about this?

Yeah, he just keeps telling me that he's not saying I'm a bad mum but then listing everything that in doing wrong

Sounds like you have 3 children at home at the moment, in which case you will need to “mom” your hubby a little to get him to grow up and take more responsibilities. Being outside of the house 24/7 is not an option when you have 2 children. Start small, so the changes do not overwhelm him & slowly build the routine and habits for him to take on with the kids. You are not a bad mom at all. You are always the mom that your kids need. You are doing the best that you can. You just need a little break here and there from your bubbas to restore your energy so you do not loose your patience too fast, because let’s face it, we all loose patience at some point :)) also, when fixing the house with tools (I do fixing at home), it’s indeed an adult’s responsibility to safeguard the children from accidentally picking up the wrong thing as they are such curious creatures! Surely there is a way to place the tools in a safe spot where bubbas cannot reach it or think of smth more appropriate☺️
