I am in the early stages of labor of my second baby. Our first son is only 17 months old and we thought we could rely on my parents to watch him for a couple days while I give birth but it unfortunately is looking like that won't be an option. They're both disabled but capable of taking care of him for short periods. I don't want my husband to miss the birth but we don't have money to hire anyone else. This is adding so much stress and sadness to me. Does anyone have any suggestions or have any advice? Please no judgement or being mean. I am just looking for support.

Can you ask a neighbor? Is your older son in daycare? Maybe you can ask a teacher if they do sitting? There may be a local peanut mom or mom in a Facebook group who can help you too.

I know this may seem out there however have you spoken to your local council/social services to see if there is a registered Foster carer who would be able to provide some support for you and your family just whilst you are in labour. I hope that you find someone :) x
