Nursery or childminder?

Hi Ladies, I hope you are well. My son attended nursery up until now. For the second time in under 12 months, he has had to be admitted and needed oxygen. We are now considering looking at getting a childminder. Anyone here send their little one to one? Pros and cons, please? We are not sure what to do I am very anxious. For context, my son is on inhalers but not diagnosed asthmatic. He is extremely fussy with food only eats cheese, chips, and spaghetti. We are waiting for an appointment for fussy eaters and an autism assessment. X

Is the childminder to hope he won’t be ill as much? My daughter doesn’t go to nursery or anything and she has an inhaler day and night as last year she was overnight in hospital 12 times for viral wheeze! So I think they’ll catch stuff regardless :( x

@Leanne Hi Leanne, a little bit of that, but also not sure if he would benefit from a smaller group of children as he doesn't eat. I am sorry to hear that about your daughter. Yeah, my little man was admitted last year for 7 days, and this time, for 5 days, both times, he caught two viruses plus pneumonia needing oxygen to help him. X
