My little boy has just turned four months and last month I got my period back. I noticed last month that I felt like I had a bit less milk than normal but this was nothing major. This month I honestly feel like I have no milk, my little boy is getting so frustrated and is clearly hungry (hitting at the boob, throwing his head back whilst feeding, sucking hands constantly and crying). He won’t take a bottle at all and I don’t really express as I have never had any need to. Does anyone have any advice or have experienced this?

Learn more about our guidelines. You won’t have no milk, it’s a temporary drop due to your hormones. I’ve experienced it too, breast compressions help :). His behaviour might not be milk related & could be a stimulating behaviour to get your body to make more :)
@Tanya thankyou! Yes this would make sense as he seems to be doing what he normally does at the start of a feed the whole time! X
A change in position may help too.
I’ve seen some that there’s thought that a calcium & magnesium supplement during the second phase your period can help.. haven’t tried it personally but it must be calcium & magnesium because it’s a HELL of a calcium dose.. I think it’s on ‘exclusively pumping’, Olivia hinge probs has a post on it but I haven’t actually looked :) x
