Breast implants and breast feeding

I’m wondering, if anyone has breast implants and is going to try breast feed? Sounds so silly, but can you even breast feed with implants? I’ve had my boobs done, and wondering if it will make any difference to my milk supply etc?

No expert here but I imagine you can? Don't they put the implants behind the muscle so I wouldn't have thought that would impact on the production of milk?

My friend had implants and couldn't breastfeed but I guess it may depend on the type of surgery etc.

Following… I had implants and had them over the muscle, I am really hoping to breast feed but apparently it could be a challenge? I have seen a tiny bit leak from one of my boobs so that gives me hope 😄 x

@Laur91 ahhh, see I’m the exact same, I’ve had a tiny bit leak from mine. I’m going to try collect colostrum at 36/37weeks so hopefully that’s something🤞🏻 this sounds stupid, but how do you know if the implants are under or over the muscle. I’ve had mine for about 7 years now and can’t remember for the life of me of mine are under or over🤦🏼‍♀️xx

It usually depends on the type of op you had, if you had surgery through the nipples you usually can’t feed but if it was underneath or through the armpit generally you will be fine your supply just might be different, you won’t know unless you try. I had mine done years ago but planning to try to breastfeed x

My sister has them and breast fed and pumped with them no problem
