Flying for the first time with my 14 month old to Dominican Republic in 4 weeks.
What to pack?
Tell me the must haves.
Do infants get a suit case? Or do I have to pack it all in mine?
Any tips welcomed!

I was there in February.
You need to pack they’re stuff in your suitcase but depending who you’re flying with you get a carry on too.
So for us, my husband and I took our large suitcases and split them. So one side was my stuff and one side was his stuff and the other suitcase was for shoes, hair stuff etc. and we used that’s suitcase for my child too. The carry on we used for diapers, wipes and other child stuff.
In DR they have 2% milk. So I just took bottles. I also took my own cutlery because they didn’t have toddler size forks. That was my choice.
Take Advil and Tylenol (it’s common to get HFM if you use a public pool) mine got it the second last day. Thermometer, water diapers, sunscreen don’t forget those for sure. Any beach toys.
Make a list, pretend you’re going through your day and start writing down what you use a lot of.

Oh and for the airport/plane take snacks and lots of them. We took fruit and crackers. You’re also allowed to take a refillable water bottle in for your child (with water in it). Buy some milk at the Tim Hortons so you can give it to your child on the plane (the sucking helps with the ears) unless your child is BF. My child had no issues with his ears.

If they have their own seat, they’re entitled to a suitcase and and a carry on. If they have a lap ticket then they’re allowed a diaper bag and stroller also. You have to check with the airline as it could vary. Lots of toys, snacks and spare outfits. You can Google travel/airplane activities for babies and toddlers. Based on your little ones interests, you’ll know what to get.

Thank you so much ladies!
