I know God hates divorce, I am unable to get through domestic violence and other forms of abuse. I’ve held on because of our son but I feel like it will be more damaging to him to grow up in a home with no love between his parents

Oh no sister, please do not allow any abuse to continue. Just because God hates divorce it doesn’t mean we have to accept abuse. You have biblical grounds to separate before divorcing. We have to also use wisdom and discernment. Only God can tell you whether or not you should divorce. I know some people will tell you that you can’t while other will tell you to go ahead. But whatever you decide to do, do not accept or tolerate abuse. Seek God on what to do, see if you can both get into counseling. Fast and pray concerning your marriage. Is your husband even saved? (Even tho this kind of behavior tells otherwise anyway)

As someone who is divorced, he died on the cross for your sins. If you are being abused then that is all you need to get out. God will forgive you, it’s not like you’re leaving because of petty reasons, this is pretty serious. Just have grace on your self and pray for God to place what to do on your heart.

I do understand that girl ❤️ I went through something similar a couple years ago. I had to move out for a month. We made things right in the end but then he passed away from sickness 😢

Thank you Ladies. Fear is holding me me back from making a move, there’s a lot in the background that’s a dilemma for me like all my family are in a different country, I have nobody that can help with our son besides him. I really haven’t had grace to pray for the marriage as I don’t know what to ask for; healing by staying or healing through separation/divorce. He says he is born again but his behavior dictates otherwise.
Our son recently become so fussy, sometimes I just need that extra help. Even though the last physical abuse came from asking his dad to help. Say a prayer for us, wherever you are, if you can

So sorry for the loss Sarah
