Postpartum and stiches

I'm 3 weeks Pp and I had an 3rd degree tear. Some of my stitches have slightly opened so Ive been getting checked over by hospital due to this. It is so sore and I've also got nappy rash! 😂 I'm assuming due to the materinty pads and the constant rubbing. I'm still bleeding some days better than others and I have some blood clots now and again

nearly 4 weeks PP and still sore to sit sometimes and little bleeding. I find some days are worse than others depending on how much i do ( long walks or periods of sitting uncomfortable) Can always call your GP to get the stitches checked to settle your mind 🫶🏼

exactly the same here so at least I have comfort that not just me. Thank you.

I am sore too from the pads. At least the bad itchy feeling has gone. I might try some nappy rash cream as it only to the side by my legs.

I found my bleeding stopped and then started again, so I wouldn't worry! Always ask your midwife to check your stitches though if you're worried 😊 I am 5 weeks post giving birth and my bleeding has only just stopped x

I knew it was slightly opened as I was applying nappy rash cream and I accidently touched the stitches (I had a tear also on the bum cheek) and felt an hole. I had my midwife check me over and definitely is opened and I referred to hospital, doctor checked me over and definitely said they are opened but it's more of an Cosmetic thing rather than deep down in the tissue and should be able to heal. I'm getting checked over again next week to see the progress

so I had my partner check after I felt the hole 😂 and yeah we could see the stitches in the inside. They aren't exactly undone but can see them and there is alot

nope they want to leave it at the moment unless it gets worse

I felt exactly the same. With my first I felt fine after maybe two weeks. With this baby it took 4 weeks and I can still feel a tight spot. I had my 6 week check and all was ok. I am putting down to not resting as much with a toddler around. My bleeding stop and then started again now waiting for my period (7 weeks)

how long does the rash stay for? Or how did you soothe it? I feel like I have this from all the pads 😭
