Mucus poo

I wondered what everyone’s little ones reaction poos look like please. My boys poo has been a mucusy consistency. Does this look like a reaction poo?

Other symptoms:
Nasal congestion
Arching back and squirming after feeds (not crying much) just seeming uncomfortable
Grunting ( mostly when put on his back and at night but can be after a feed)
Baby acne??
Very gassy

Is he breastfeeding? It looks like normal poop to me if so.

How old is your baby too? He could just be super gassy thats why he fussy and if he's super congested laying him down anyway is hard for him to breath he needs to be proped up during feeding and while he's laying down, try your best to use a bulb syringe to he his boogers so he can breath.

Thanks he is breastfed yes and is only 5 weeks so hopefully just a gassy babe. It’s the grunting that worries me most!

I'd say there's mucus in there so I would think it could be. Personally I'd cut milk out of your diet for at least 6 weeks if it improves this would be enough to confirm its the milk. The doctors may want you at that point to reintroduce milk to your diet to test and see if the mucus comes back x

Our LB’s looked like this and he has CMPA and soya allergy. He also had all other symptoms and bad blistering nappy rash. He also had tongue tie which can cause mucusy poo too

Is being extremely gassy and crying when farting/pooing a symptom?

Thank you really helpful xx

Being gassy and having pain when pooping is definitely a sign. I remember when my little one was about 5 weeks in the middle of the night I was literally having to pump her because she was in such discomfort. I think it's very likely both poops you've put up are allergy poops

Hey @incognito did you find out what caused it? We’re going through the exact same thing with my little one

Hi - he is 9 months now and has no issue or allergy at all. I think it was to do with a bad patch breastfeeding for us - he’s completely grown out of
It all around 5 months. I hope you get sorted xx
