How to protect baby? Am I being paranoid

My mam just brought my niece and nephew in to meet my 11 week old baby girl and my niece (5y) was all up in my baby’s face stroking and touching her hands then coughing and now I’m so paranoid she’ll get unwell, she already had small symptoms of a cold. Is there anything I can do quickly to help prevent any spread of germs? I’ve wiped her hands and face with a wipe but should I bathe her? Cooled boiled water wash? Help 😭 I feel like I’m being dramatic but it’s my baby and all I ever hear is kids picking up germs from school

Well, if that was today then those symptoms you are talking about are for sure not from this visit.
My boy got a cold from his nanna even though she didn't hold him but was still close enough. We all got it now. It's what happens with children and it will help build up their immune system. He didn't actually get it too bad so I am really glad for that.
Unfortunately not much we can do. But I would probably have a word in future as they should have been aware that she was ill and avoid contact with the baby.

If you are breastfeeding, put your baby on the breast more. When this happened with me I wiped him all over and you could also give a bath. Not much more really just keep an eye on baby's temperature as this happened with my lil one as well! X
