Tips on moving with a toddler

I have a 22 month old son who is very attached to his current home (and his nana, who we currently live with) but we have to move for my husbands work. We’re moving to a much smaller place and I know he’s gonna feel out of sorts. Does anyone have any tips on how to make this transition a bit easier?

I do have a few questions, will he be getting his own room? If so what are the limits are to personalization (like are y’all buying a home or renting?

@Hannah he will be having his own room, we’re renting and so far I’ve gotten some new fun toys for him to be excited about in there at least.

We just did a hectic move and happened to be sick + teething that day 🥴 it helped to have a place for her to lay down. But honestly she loved running around the empty rooms

@Tianna Serna I would recommend talking to him about his new room. Hype up him having a cool new space just for him. Things he’ll be able to do. That’s what we did with our oldest. She was all about getting a new room

We just moved, and I made sure to set up my son’s room first when we were unpacking. That way, even if the house was still a mess, he had a place to feel settled.
