We also do a mixture x
We do a mixture. My little one seems to prefer the finger foods over mashed but it still scares me giving her them because she shoves everything in 🙈 last night we tried pasta with broccoli and carrot sticks and she loved it
I'm making sure she has a puree or something mashed and soft along with finger food for every meal to make sure she's actually eating something as I know the puree gets consumed whereas the finger food is mostly sucked on played with or thrown 🙈
Same than Robyn. He's getting better at actually eating the finger foods, but I like to know he does eat. Best of both worlds: less mess, he eats and also enjoys himself
We are on mashed food and some finger food. My LB prefers mash food and with finger food he tends to shove as much as he can in then gags and throws up and he doesn’t seem to be learning with this either so gives me anxiety! Xx
We feed purées and just started giving few bits of finger food although she plays with it instead of eating it 😅
Mixture but he seems to strongly prefer purée or finger foods that are super soft (e.g. pear without skin on). Trying to encourage him to be more adventurous with finger food so trying different textures & making sure to offer both at mealtimes
We are on thicker purees and mashes, only lumps we have tried is porridge. I'm concerned about finger foods still so trying to find info on traditional weaning and how to move on but struggling. I've had PPA and the therapist I've seen has said trad will be best for us. I do feel like I'm failing her though with the finger foods
We’re on a mixture but he prefers purées! 8.5 months old and not a single tooth so struggling with the chunkier foods and some things make him gag so mainly purées if I’m honest x
We do a mixture of pouches and finger foods. X
