how do you know when you’re ready for another baby?
my son is 14 months and i work in a pub/restaurant where new parents come in with their babies and i feel torn because i’d love another but i can’t afford it. i also feel ashamed to admit i’m ready for a second baby but don’t want my family to think i’m stupid. my partner wants another too.
i’m too scared to start trying again, i’ve just got this job and i’m worried a baby bump will get in the way of my work as well. there’s not much i can do once i’m heavily pregnant because it involves a lot of bending down and lifting.
does anyone have any advice?

If you can't afford it and you haven't been at the job long enough to get mat leave I'd say the sensible thing to do is wait. I know how you feel, I'm already longing for a newborn again! But only you know if the time is right and it doesn't sound like it from what you've said x
how long do you have to have the job to get mat leave? with my boy i didn’t have a job at the time
I think it's usually 26 weeks
