I do this

Nuby rapid cool is amazing for night feeds - we actually use it for every feed with the hot shot method (don't put the formula in the rapidcool as instructed, just put boiling water in it and a hot shot of water straight in the bottle with the formula)

So at night time I put my powder in the bottle before I go to bed so they're ready to go. Take flask of boiling water, measure out 1 oz in the night if boiling water into one of those pots and pour into the formula bottle, mix quickly and then pour in the pre measured cold water from one of those pots too.

To be honest the longer the boiled water is left, the less sterile it becomes. However, nobody is perfect so an alternative would be to leave boiled water to the side (not in the fridge) and use a bottle warmer/food heating machine

Do you ever mix breast milk with formula or do you keep it separate? As I’ve been mixing half and half but not sure if I’ve been doing it all wrong by adding cold breast milk to hot formula x

adding the breast milk to hot formula might kill some of the good stuff at worst but that sounds like a brilliant idea either way. Love it 😍

@Rebecca I keep it separate personally. I keep my milk in those pots and mix them together if I don't always make enough for one feed. Then I try to do breasy milk in the day and formula before bed and through the night!

ahh okay, there’s so many things to think about over a feed 😆 so just boiling the water and leaving it for a few hours at room temp is better than refrigerating it after boiled ? X

curious do you measure the hot shot? X

you can put the boiled water in the fridge, I just thought it would warm faster in the heater if left at room temp? I suppose it doesn't matter either way. As long as the water is from the same day

no I just literally put about 10ml in if that! Then the formula followed by the cooled water from the rapidcool
