Showering with baby

Following as I was would like to do the same with my lo ❤️

My LO hates baths but loves a shower. I hold my Angelcare thermometer under the stream of water and let it puddle a bit - holding for a minute to get a reading. For extra caution I aim for 35 degree reading as it's still warm enough but not a risk.

Be mindful of ensuring the shower cord isn't compromised, as bent cords can cause sudden bursts of hot water when straightened x

I just judge it using me. It's warm enough we aren't cold . I like it toasty but have it much less for me and him. :)

I just gauged it by touch. Like Holly said, I put it a bit cooler than what I'd normally do for myself.

If your shower is over the bath you could always put the plug in for a bit of water to pool, check the temp and then take the plug out when you get in

How are people showering with the baby? Genuine question, if you’re holding them how can you get an arm free to wash? 😂 am I being blonde?

if your shower is big enough or is in the bath you could always pop them down in their bath seat for a minute while you wash your hair etc (obviously keep an eye on them at all times).
Or you could pop them on the floor of the bathroom outside the shower all snuggled up in a towel on a changing mat while you quickly wash your hair and then pick them up when you're done. I've only had a shower with my little boy when I'm not washing my hair so I've been able to manage some shower gel one handed on to a shower scrunchy or just quickly pop him down for like 30 seconds haha

I put him in his little baby bath seat thing and sir at the bottom with it between my legs . Him facing me and I wash on the floor 😂 wash me quickly and wash him while the shamp/cond is in. The waters on him while I put it on. Then rinse us both.

Shaving.. non existent now really. But yeah. Showers are not a relaxing clean and de-stress like the used to be 😂 another mad rush half ass job where.i leave with stuff still in my hair most times
