Y’all really don’t be girl’s girls? Like we still giving the “men are easier to get along with and not as much drama” energy genuinely? Bc in my mind I’m like have you actually met men? 😭 Men actually can be hella dramatic, complain, can be messy as hell tbh and even passive aggressive - also more likely to assault you
Women aren’t a monolith. We got all types of gals out here. Find people who genuinely match your vibe sis 🤸🏾♂️🌊 (& give as much grace to your women friends as you would your male ones)

Yeppp.. and not just in your personal life but at work as well. I'm in the management team in our finance dept and I have a colleague who can only retain men in her team. Any time she's had a female report there are always issues and the ladies eventually leave. It makes me so sad to watch, the girls probably don't even know what's going on

socia media and life has made me realize the way people perceive women authority in the workplace versus men even when they exhibit the exact same behaviors, it lands very differently.
Women give each other zero grace & sometimes we are all we have tbh.

We're conditioned to help perpetuate the patriarchy. While I don't understand women with the mindset you've described I understand why

I totally agree with you tbh, regarding the impacts of social conditioning forsure.
It’s just kinda surprising seeing women my age say stuff like this. Lol
Like mam you can grab a beer, tacos, & watch sports or game with women too I promise 💀

The pool of people that I socialize with since I was a teenager has been predominantly men.
In school and work, I'm in a male dominated field. My husband is a police officer, so another male dominated field.
When I do come across a woman in either industry, I latch on and we become besties, but I also vibe well with so many men in my industry so we end up besties too and it's completely platonic cause they usually have a broromance with my husband (is nerds are always entertained by his wild work stories).
I have my girls girl moments... I love the spa, let's do our nails and face masks, etc etc. I can talk clothing, designer bags, and crap till the cows come home. Newest obsession is the Golden Bachelor. My issue is simply that I have fewer opportunities to meet new women.
Hence me on peanut... but unfortunately, the pool of women on here that I can relate to other than the fact that we have both popped out some humans is slim.

I think the men are easier thing stems from if you can easily vibe with that guys interests most guys are raised to literally never voice their actual feelings and stuff, meanwhile a lot of women are not scared to argue or disagree with a friend. Like I don't get alone with most people in general, mainly because I don't want to feel like I either have to teach them everything or like I can't talk about how much I actually know something for fear of making them feel stupid or otherwise overwhelming them with information. Like I get called woke a lot and I don't really get why, cuz I'm not woke, I just read up to date studies and make sure my info is up to date, it's not hard to. Like hanging out with guys is easier but not because they're less drama but because they're less about accountability. And other girls just people please to them, but that's a whole other can of worms to crack open 💀

When you find a woman you can vibe with tho- those vibes are impeccable! Like idk if I'd call myself a girls girl cuz I ain't even a people person but I also don't really get the terms, but women are great and at least with them the bar is off the floor normally

I don’t think this necessarily make you not a girls girl though. It just seems like you have limited opportunities to engage with women, esp like minded women, but would be down for the ride if able too.
I’m more so speaking to women who act like women bonds & friendships are difficult in a burdensome way. It’s giving middle school “I’m so different from other girls” when there are so many different types of women out here. Lol
And honestly I barely do any of that tbh. I shop from my house. I rarely go to spas or get manicures. I like to bum on my couch and watch anime and read lol but there are other girls like me too

I wouldn’t say I’m the most sociable person either tbh. & it’s actually hard for me to develop and sustain friendships bc I’m such a homebody and moody tbh. I’m similar in that I’m not letting just any and everything fly either. lol but I still genuinely and deeply value community with women. It’s enriching.

exactly!

I am still surprised by some of the things I see and hear from other women smh. I can't even blame generational gaps as YOUNG women are still buying into this type of thing
I am definitely not traditionally girly but I'm old enough now to be annoyed by male friends and much prefer my gfs company

Yeah. I hate seeing “ men are no drama and easy” like yeah they’re easy 🫠🥴 they’re most likely trying to see if you’re easy to hook up with which is why it’s “so easy” to get along with them.

this is how I know alotta peoples friendships are hella superficial, bc just bc I don’t like some of the same things doesn’t mean we can’t have an amazing bond and enjoy things we do have in common tbh.
& no fr bc babes I thought we were in a new era why are we still keeping the women hating vibes going 😭

I genuinely just want women to want better and see the value in community with other women. Like this world is such a cruel as place. We gotta have each others back and really support one another and recognize that we’re multifaceted beings. There’s so many layers to women and it’s not a one size fits all.

It sucks but keep putting yourself out there and you're bound to find your girl tribe 🤞

I have my besties but they do live back home in Louisiana, but working on making them here & thank you 🥰💕
