Reduced feedings
Hi everyone my LO is full of a cold and cough😩 he was taken in to hospital yesterday by ambulance for sucking in at his ribs but were back at home now (his breathing is fine) he’s just really stuffy and not wanting as much feeds. He’s having over half his normal feeds. He’s having plenty of wet nappies but I’m just concerned🤣🙈. Can someone reassure me this is okay🤣🙈

My boy is similar, we’ve got the calpol nasal spray & the plug in- hoping that helps overnight tonight. I used the nose frida tonight and he screamed but it definitely helped! X
My LB has a cold at the moment and todays the first day he’s taken less on his feeds, so I’m just offering little and often. I’m not sure if it’s normal, but the GP (I went for something else when he’d started to have his cold, so asked him to listen to his chest) said that as long as he doesn’t show signs of dehydration x
It’s good to let them sleep on a very slight angle too, helps them breathe better and mucus runs down. Our LG is in her buggy next to us tonight, it really is a very shallow angle. Sleeping flat seems to be much worse. You can also raise the feet on a crib or cot at our end too. We also used saline spray and Calpol x
