Hi guys. So me and my little 7 month old tested positive for COVID on Tuesday. I started feeling rough on Sunday, didn’t think anything of it, Tuesday afternoon little one woke up from her nap with a fever and screaming crying. We took her to out of hours and whilst we were in the waiting room my mom phoned to say she’d tested positive. The out of hours seconded that it sounded like covid. Advised we calpol up and knuckle down to get through which we did and the fever broke on Thursday she went from 38.5/39 to 36.2. She’s now just sleeping a lot more (having shorter wake windows, rubbing eyes and giving sleepy queues more often) but is playing in her morning wake windows in short bursts. This evening she went back on solids and devoured a banana with a smile on her face but soon went back to whining. I suppose I’m just wondering if anyone else has been through it and if you can offer any words of comfort? Where your babies out of sorts for a while after? I’m just wanting it all to be over and for her to feel herself again.

I will add we went to another Dr for a second opinion. I have severe PPA so I definitely wouldn’t rest on one doctor’s opinion.

My little one had it at 7 months too. It's so so hard when you have a poorly baby and also aren't feeling well yourself! My little one spiked an almost 40 temp so it was just a case of trying to keep that down, following cues for tiredness/hunger and just sooo many cuddles. He was pretty bad for maybe 3 days, then began to brighten up and was back to his usual self pretty quickly after that. Hopefully you'll both be feeling better soon❤
