Tips for giving medicine??

Baby is super sick and running a fever. doctor said to alternate tylenol and motrin every 3 hours. but at this point my son is refusing to take it. Anyone have any tricks to get their baby to take it without spitting it out?

Mix with purees or bottles or do very little bits at a time and put paci in right behind. The last one is what the hospital and pediatrician showed me how to do as my LO was throwing up everytime I gave her meds

I found out they make suppositories for babies, they're a little pricey, but a total game changer. Mine wouldn't take the syringe or a bottle

I got the chewable tylenol, crushed it, and gave it to my son on my finger😂

They make medicine paci. There's a little hole in the paci and you connect the syringe to it and goes straight into baby mouth while they sucking on the paci

My MIL actually gave me this tip after seeing how my daughter fusses and refuses to take the medicine. Sit him in your lap facing whatever is to your right. Tuck his arm that’s closest to you under your left boob and hold it there then hold his other arm down with your left hand (so like wrapped around his back to his arm) and blow (not hard, just blow) on his face while you give him the medicine with your right hand. It’s a life saver for me bc my daughter has an ear infection right now and has to take Tylenol/motrin and amoxicillin

Oh and when you do that, lean him back a bit so he can’t spit it out and has to swallow
