Anyone else having outfit issues?? He's not even 2m old yet and today he was busting out of this 6-9m sleeper I put on him. I had to change him to a slightly bigger size because he looked like a busted can of biscuits! I'm used to having big babies but this is a bit crazy even for me π

Oh and the snaps on this sleeper wouldn't stay closed lol. Half of them would pop open every time he kicked or I picked him up π€¦π»ββοΈ

How big was your babe when he was born and what brand is this? π I find some brands run pretty small and some abit bigger!

he was 9lbs 5oz, so I knew from the start that he'd be hefty. I just didn't expect for him to be the kind of hefty where he shot from the 77th percentile to the 98th percentile in the span of a week and a half (according to his weights taken at his Dr appt and wic appt from 2-3 wks).
I don't remember what the brand is but I did wonder if maybe it just was a small outfit for that size. However I replaced it with a 6-12 month pajama set from a different brand and it fits him perfectly in the torso. It's super weird! The only thing is the sleeves and pant legs are too long on him, so they bunch up. But the smaller sizes don't fit him in the belly/butt due to how long and round he is.
Even just holding him, I can tell he's gigantic for his age. He is way bigger than my other kids were at this age, and they were pretty big babies too. It's to the point where I'm going to ask his Dr at his next visit if this amount of weight gain is healthy. Thankfully he has an appt soon!

that's crazy how different they are! Also I had no clue Burt's Bees sold clothing what the heck π

so precious! You need to get an award or something for having a baby that big π Our bodies are truly amazing

Our boy is in the 90 percentile. He started at 7lbs 7oz ,20 1/4in length. He turned 4m on the 4th, just weighed him last night - 17lbs. He's currently wearing 6-9m, but is outgrown certain brands.
Our daughter started at 6.5lbs 21.5in long and has stayed skinny, but tall.

what a big boy!

definitely had a c section but still o was wondering why I was super uncomfortable

also she was 2 weeks early so just imagine

wow he was ready to be a monster of a baby!

right and on top of that I had labored for 7 and a half hours before they took me to get the c section

the process of giving birth is definitely a whole journey, but having a big baby is a journey and a half π

My guy is super long in his torso (25 inches, 13.5lbs) but he has shorter legs and arms so he swims in 6-9 but the body fits great. I had the same issue with my first son so I stocked up on bamboo sleepers this time around and they fit so much better because theyβre so stretchy and he can wear them for longer than a few weeks too π I can still squeeze him into newborn size lol

yep that's the prob I'm having. Arms and legs are too long on him but his torso is long and THICK so the bigger sizes fit him great in the body. Almost all of the 6-9m clothes I've been trying on him are either snug or too tight on his torso lol. It'll be interesting to see what his Dr has to say about this next wk.
I'll have to look into the bamboo sleepers! For now I'm just rolling or bunching up sleeves and such π
None of my other kids had such strange proportions, so this is all new to me.

lol big boys! My toddler is still the same at almost 2.5 years. He wears a 5T on top and a 3T on the bottom haha maybe one day heβll even out
