Are doulas common in the UK?
They’re very common in the states but I’m trying to do some research on doulas in Essex and struggling a bit—wondering if they’re not as common?
If anyone has used a doula they’d recommend I’d love to hear!

There are doulas here but not as common as in the states, i joined a home birth group on Facebook and they had loads of recommendations for them so maybe try there? The group is home birth support group UK
No but you can hire a private midwife
I can really recommend Charlotte from hypnobirthing with Charlotte. I did my hypnobirthing course with her and she was amazing. She’s really lovely too & is a doula as well. This is her Instagram page, hope that helps 🥰
