Newborn formula

I am finally starting on my hospital bag (and the nursery 😅). I've been told by many that it'd be wise to have some baby formula or single use bottles in case things don't go to plan with breastfeeding.
I was wondering what brand of baby formula do you pack?

Whatever brand you want to use, I’ve got aptamil, purely because they were quick and easy to find lol! But if breastfeeding doesn’t happen at all for some reason it’ll be Kendamil x

Thanks

They are all the same recipe and ingredients by law so just pick up whatever you can find at your local supermarket. I got a pack of 6 cow and gate ready made bottles with single use teats on them for £7 in Asda. They will be for an emergency then we will buy more if breastfeeding doesn’t work out

I plan to breastfeed, but I got some of the kendamil ready made bottles to take with me to the hospital just in case.
It’s what my sister is using for her little one (formula fed), so if I don’t end up using it then it won’t go to waste as she can have it.

id use kendamil for powder if i was going to long term formula feed as it’s cheaper than aptamil powder. but the aptamil premades are cheaper than the kendamil ones 😫 so i’m going to be bringing the aptamil pre-made formulas to the hospital x

I also plan on breastfeeding but have got 4 bottles of the kendamill ready to feed bottles from Tesco as a back up

I’ve packed the sma gold ready to use formulae with the teats ready to use. Sma is one of the more pricey brands of formula but from family experience it’s the only one me and my brother agreed with when we were baby’s so my mums is adamant on Sma so I’ve listened lol x and it has good reviews … if you want to pay that bit extra

Thank you so much everyone 💗

it's worth double checking with your midwife if you need to bring your own just in case. I'm planning on breastfeeding and asked, and where I am the advice was not to bring any in as they'll provide formula if it's needed (eg breastfeeding doesn't start as planned etc)
It'll save you money buying it unnecessarily 💛

I’m planning on breast feeding also, and have packed a 6 pack of kendamil pre made bottles with teats just incase and will donate if we end up not using xx

yes they do this in all hospitals for emergencies. We just keep our formula in the car and if we don’t use it in hospital we know we have it at home in case. After a week or two if we haven’t used it then it gets donated
