Crochet patterns

Still a beginner crochet-er and wanted to pop in and see if anyone has any beginner friendly patterns for blankets, primarily twin and queen sizes.

I know there are lot of patterns on ravelry and YouTube! But it’s been a few years since I’ve made blankets I’ve been doing wearable items and plushies recently

I look up crochet patterns on pinterest and you can pick and choose what looks easiest to you and then most the time follow through to a pattern

Anything Granny Square will probably be the easiest. Keep in mind using thicker yarns means you'll go through more of it faster.

I would make blankets with rows of single crochets and double crochets.

I did a queen size single crochet blanket and it took 7 yrs to complete with a pregnancy in the middle of it, but I did enjoy this ongoing project.

Amigurumi today has free patterns for animals and dolls! They are super fun.

I also recommend Ravelry, you can filter your pattern search by weight (chunky) and availability:”free”, crochet only, etc. you can often download the pattern right away and save them in your ravelry “library” patterns are often rated so I sort by that sometimes and if it’s still too many patterns you can filter by level: easy
