3 Empty follicles at egg retrieval

It surely can happen. It happened to me. I had 4 follicles that did not release any eggs, and my doctor had prepared me for that when I went for my scans to set my expectations right. You are not alone 😊 Congratulations! 10 is a really good number.

Were yours all 20-22mm?

Mine were all over 20 mm, so I wasn't too prepared for the news.

I don't want to sound like I'm not grateful either I'm just surprised and curious.

I totally understand! We all have multiple questions, which is normal since IVF aint straight forward 😅 No, they were not when I went it for my 3rd scan. I then triggered a couple of days later, and 1.5 days later was my retrieval. I'm not sure what size they could have been at retrieval.

Not the same experience but I had 19 eggs retrieved but only nine more mature. Of those nine all of them were fertilized! I just got a call back on my day five last assist report and out of nine there are five that made it. Now to wait for the genetic testing.

What does possible mean? Just late fertilization?

Yeah it probably means still cooking and not out of the game yet!
