Going out fall/winter

The good guideline is to give your baby an extra layer. I like to have a onesie underneath a sleep n play. Depending on the weather I might put socks underneath as well. A hat and thick blanket along with a thin blanket. This is how I do with the current weather. If you’re baby wearing this should be enough. But use discretion based on temperature/wind. In the winter, get one of those baby snowsuits. A lot of them have mittens fitted into them or you can get some. Good luck mama, and trust your instincts. Check for sweating (too hot) or cold nose/fingers (too cold)

I just want to say that too many layers can always be corrected. Yesterday, my sons were in sleep n plays and had a warm body suit over it, like a snowsuit but material like a hoodie. And one was plenty warm the other as sweating.

My little buddy has been in long sleeves and pants. ( my mom bought some fuzzy socks for him ☺️). He sleeps in pants and long sleeve or zip(or snap ) long sleeve footie onesies

One layer more than you are comfortable in. Babies don’t get sick just from being cold, it’s an old myth.

I don't worry about him getting sick ( sick comes from germs) , but I don't want him cold either

It's better for babies to be a tiny bit cold than too hot! Dress them how you would dress yourself.
In Scandinavia and maybe other European countries, people leave babies outside in prams in the winter for naps.

You can always add a blanket if you underdress the baby
