Sleeping bag

Ive bought one but haven’t used it yet so would be good to know!
Also do people tend to find that the sleeping bags can be way longer than the baby is?

How cold is cold? We usually try to keep ours in the 16-20°c range and our boy sleeps in a short sleeved vest, sleepsuit and 2.5 tog sleeping bag. I have seen there are 3.5 ones available but not sure what temperature range it's intended for!

yeah I try not to let it go below 16, problem is with our heating the thermostat is our bedroom and goes off that temperature which is always about 3 degrees higher, so when I set the heating to a certain temp it goes off our temperature. Hope that made sense 😂
Maybe I’ll add a vest tonight, and I’ll probably need 3.5 the colder it gets. Was just wondering if having the arms on helped x

I was gifted one, but the arms seemed to restrict him and he looked bothered by them, so I took them off. They unzip, so that's nice.

they're meant to be longer than baby so they have the space to move their feet inside, I found my boy ends up getting irritated trying to go to sleep when he's due to size up a bag as his feet don't have the space to stretch out

for now you could try a long sleeve vest with a onesie maybe while it's still not as cold. The sleeved ones can be good though as they do come off so if baby does get warm during the night you can take it off🙂 we got a slumbersac one that has detachable sleeves and comes with feet that can fold open or close so it's easier for them to walk but I bought one wayyy too big so we can't use it yet 😅😅

I get you! Ours is downstairs in the lounge and usually a tad cooler so I adjust it accordingly to try and get the right temperature for his room 😆
Yeah certainly a vest underneath is a good shout. I know sometimes I worry about my boy being too hot or cold but always make sure he's just comfortably warm on his chest/neck/back 😊

I haven’t gotten my arms one out yet but I used to use it for my eldest.

I say I haven’t gotten it out yet but I think it might be at my parents as I couldn’t find it tonight when I was putting bubs to bed so I would have used it tonight if I had it!

I’ve got one with sleeves, my boy now sleeps without waking up in the night. We wear a short sleeve vest and trousers in it, his room can drop to 17 degrees some nights.

I found some second hand ergobaby ones with arms and it’s a game changer as my baby always gets very cold arms at night. They’re so easy to use too! Have a look on Facebook/ebay/Vinted x
