I’m not sure if anyone here is from Canada, but I did some genetic screening and got a screen positive for Down syndrome. My risk increased to a 1/310 chance from a 1/1000 chance. I’m waiting on my diagnostic genetic testing to come back but I am struggling with anxiety around this.
My NT scan was normal, and there are calcified nasal bones present. I’m trying to be positive and optimistic, but also can’t help the “what if” thoughts.

Hey love. I’m assuming you did the enhanced first trimester screening? It gives you a risk based on numerous factors like your age. If you’re in your 30s… it will increase your risk automatically. The NT scan holds more weight and is a better way of knowing if there are any abnormalities. A good NT measurement and a nasal bone present are good signs. They will probably make you do a NIPT which are fairly accurate. I did have a pregnancy with confirmed T18 and other abnormalities. The NT scan was very telling. So the fact that yours is good is super reassuring!! 🤍

I'm 14 weeks pregnant, in my 12 week scan the sonographer couldn't find nasal bone and they have asked me to come again for a recall test, hoping everything ll be okay
