Sooooo what are we doing about heartburn??? My throat and esophagus are not happy. I keep randomly getting tiny amounts of puke come up to my throat and mouth and just go right back down. I can't stand the taste, the unpredictability and the pain of it. Anyone have tips that aren't to give up my cravings? I'm already cutting down on those but I need more help 🫣🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠😩😩

I found sipping on lemon water helped when the HB is mild. If I'm having a worse day of it I just go straight for the gavascon

Gavascon and I swear by this. I take the fluid version many do the tablets. I swear this is the only thing that has helped me out. Not the best consistency when in mouth but it’s better than what the midwife recommends you. Give it a go!! X

My doc prescribed Nexium to me and I started taking it from last night and the acid reflux is gone!

Yep, downing the gaviscon tablets but I might change to the liquid because chewing the tablets are starting to be off putting 🫠idk why.

Omeprazole

I was on nexium, but had to change to omeprazole when pregnant.

@Jacqui sorry you're right the package actually says esomeprazole

esomeprazole is nexium. Ring the women’s pharmacy and they will tell you omeprazole is safer.

@Jacqui interesting 🤔 both the doctor and pharmacist confirmed all fine during pregnancy but thanks for the heads up

I have horrible acid reflux and heartburn but that comes with my HG 😂 I’ve just been sticking with Gaviscon for when it gets a bit much. I also noticed eating dinner earlier and not laying back down In bed after for at least 2 hours helps for that night and in the morning! X

I've found in my last pregnancies and starting about now too in this one, that for me I start having smaller more regular meals, eg 4 or 5 small ones rather than the usual 3. As bubs pushes all the organs up, this makes it nicer on everything and stops me from getting as much of the heartburn. Just something to try 😊 good luck

@Milly yes... it's terrible 😞 makes it hard to get a good night's sleep
