Omeprazole

It looked like it worked for us within 3 days but by 3 weeks later it wasn’t really so we stopped again. She was spitting up a lot, still uncomfortable and still constipated so we saw no reason to continue. We use probiotics now just and have gaviscon for when things flare up and she’s far happier.

We started on 3ml, was upped to 6ml!

what probiotics do you use?

It started to work within a few days for us and after 2 weeks seemed to make a big difference.

However we also use gaviscon at the same time and I swapped to expressing instead of BF so this may have also helped x

He had 5mg per day x

We started noticing a difference after two weeks- she’s on 16mg a day- which I think is a high dosage! She’s 13 weeks

We’ve been on it for a good few weeks now, my boy is 14 weeks and been upped on the dosage several times as didn’t think it was working. Now on 18mg a day and again don’t think it’s made a difference. I’ve put my boy on cow and gate reflux milk and he’s nowhere near as sick anymore. We’ve been told to do 2 weeks on this dose and if not working to start bring him off of it xx

BioGaia are the ones we use, we started using them at the same time as the omeprozole and kept them going after we stopped and she’s far happier.

thanks! Do you just put the drops in babies milk?

No for these ones you put the drops on a wee spoon and then into their mouths, heat in the bottles kills the good bacteria. My little one takes them really well though it’s such a tiny amount!
