Cold and Breastfeeding

Little girl is currently down with her first cold and I seem to have similar symptoms to her come on today, so assuming we have caught it off each other. Worried that I may have another bug though and worried about making her more unwell. She sleeps in our room and I breastfeed so hard to keep my distance. Any advice? Or reassurance xx

Hi, I’ve been advised/researched that you should just keep breastfeeding.
Your body will provide the antibodies to help your baby quickly recover.
Sounds a bit weird but when the baby feeds, their spit actually enters the breast and sends messages about what baby needs and makes it for the next feed- hope that makes sense!
