Coping/grieving with miscarriage

I had a missed miscarriage a few weeks ago. It’s been rough. What have you found that helped you cope or grieve? How did you know you were ready to try again?

Thanks so much for sharing I’m so glad you have your rainbow baby. Im hopefully I’ll have one day too. 💛
Miscarriage feels isolating so times. It’s helpful to know I’m not alone in what I’ve experienced physically and emotionally.

I missed miscarried 2 in a short period of time, I’m now 36w

Personally, I took comfort in knowing I could get pregnant. My body was preparing itself for the right time.

My partner and I looked upon all the conceptions as positive signs that we my body could do it. We just had to be patient and when she was ready she’d come.

While we were sad, we looked for the positives in the situation. This brought us closer together and prepared us when we made it to the second tri.

im sorry for your losses and congrats on your pregnancy

Those are both very comforting thoughts. 💛Thanks for sharing them. When my mind starts spinning I want to focus on those thoughts instead of the what ifs and google rabbit holes

Thank you 😊
It can be hard to find the positives, but I’d like to think there always is one there. If you can find it and hold onto it, you can come out the other side and he ready to try again.
Don’t get me wrong… I was terrified (still am) the whole way, but def focussing on the positives we could find and each other helped.

My fingers and toes are crossed for you!

your perspective is helpful. I’m still making my way out of the thick of it so to hear from those who’ve made their way out is helpful. It’s like the expression can’t see the forest through the trees. I’ve been so caught up in the loss and grief I’ve been less able to see the big picture where there is still hope.

Feel free to reach out if you ever just wanna have a chat or anything. It can be overwhelming and the negativity can really take hold. You will make it through tho 🥰

I had a missed miscarriage last October and really struggled. I got help from baby loss counselling called Petals. I also bought a rose called my angel which brings me comfort when it blooms. Xx

I’m sorry for your loss Laura. It’s so hard. I’ve been thinking of looking into counseling or a support group for miscarriage. I love the idea of seeing a rose bloom and remembering ❤️

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
