I am around 8w now and after a miscarraige earlier this year I am struggling to allow myself to get excited and look at baby things or tell anyone. It’s so hard, I hope this is normal!

Don’t know if it’s normal but I’m exactly the same. Miscarried in June and I’m currently 8 weeks 🫶 you’re definitely not alone if that helps xx

I’m the same. Had a MMC in April and now nearly 12 weeks with a scan on Monday. It’s not for everyone but I bought a fetal Doppler and can find baby’s heartbeat once a week which has been a massive relief for me x

I'm exactly the same! I miscarried in June and I'm now just over 8 weeks and my symptoms being on and off is really triggering😬x

@Kirsty is that like a home.ultrasound?

it can detect baby’s heartbeat. Can get them on Amazon for about £15 x

I can only find a few at 30 quid and only have 3 reviews...the rest are hundreds 😱

sorry I meant eBay. I actually got mine off of Vinted.
I found heartbeat from 9 weeks. Can’t hear it yet but can see the number of beats on the little screen

please don’t use these as your not using it correctly it’s so dangerous and gives false hope unless your trained to know what to be listening too. I trained as midwife and you have make sure you have maternal pulse and FHR with definite difference to be sure you have FHR and not mums puls. You never read the number either not accurate you always counted. If your ever concerned about baby throughout pregnancy you go into see midwife to be check never try listening yourself it’s so dangerous when you don’t know what to listen for and what is reassuring or not. Not worth it. Midwife will always say this and always want you in to be monitored when your so many weeks that it’s appropriate to have CTG also midwife won’t listen with Doppler before 16 weeks as too difficult and hard to pick up FHR accurately and could cause undue worry and stress. So please don’t use them or buy one. X

I also had miscarriage in April and 9+ weeks with my rainbow. I also have same worries and I have got reassurance scan on Sunday. Maybe book a reassurance scan that only way you’d see hear heartbeat at this stage. X

Just be careful with these Doppler ladies. What you are hearing might be your heartbeat and could easily be mistaken for baby’s. Midwives have lots of training how to find baby’s heartbeat so it’s not easy for us to find it. I’m just sharing because I know someone who did the same, thought everything was fine for weeks and weeks but actually turned out that the heartbeat she heard was her own and not her baby’s. Her baby had passed weeks ago and she never knew.. it’s not really a good way to be reassured as you just never know x

I'm hearing you, I've been there and 11+2 now

What’s the best Doppler guys? One that really works xxx

none the ones when you see a midwife or CTG x

none of them are good. Only the ones the midwives use and that’s because they are trained and know what they are looking out for.
