Hiya Ladies
Embarking on my first IVF cycle soon! My doctor suggested a short protocol with a fresh transfer. 🙏 Just wanted to connect with others on this journey – anyone up for being IVF buddies? 🥹
Feeling nervous as a newbie in a new country with a limited support system, but blessed to have a supportive partner who's trying to understand what I'm going through.
Even if you're not starting IVF, any advice or words of wisdom are greatly appreciated! Drop me a message or reply here; I'm all ears. 💬 #IVFJourney #IVFBuddies #NewBeginnings

Hiii Titi! Amazing. Well as soon as I have something to share I will 😊 how are you feeling about starting? Doing anything to increase your chances of success?
I’ve been following the Mediterranean diet taking prenatals, and I’m set to have acupuncture on Thursday.
I am down to try anything and hoping for a miracle first time success.

The only thing I’ll say is the hardest parts are leading up to it, and waiting for results (embryos + transfer). The actual process and injections, scans etc are easier than you’d expect. So def focus on looking after your mental health and prioritising the other things in life that bring you joy and comfort. Good to keep busy too!

Hi girls I will also be starting a cycle in November, it will be my third cycle. I won’t be doing a fresh transfer as my body tends to favour modified natural frozen transfers
Happy to answer any questions. It’s natural to be nervous and overwhelmed by all the meds. I’ll never forget my shock the first time I got handed two huge bags of meds from the pharmacist, but you will soon get the swing of it.
You got this girls 💪🏼

totally second this the waiting is way harder than any of the injections

My meds are arriving tomorrow and I am bracing for shock. The fact that it’s arriving in a box already has me shook. I am not the biggest fan of needles so anxiety is PEAK. I’m a fairly patient person so I think the needles will be far worse than the waiting

I won’t lie the needles are scary the first few times. My husband had to do them for me for the first month or so and I was not brave!!!… but now I’m a pro at it (not something I thought I’d ever boast about 😂)

Hi all! 👋 I’m starting the injections tomorrow 😬 first cycle of three! So I’ll be doing only half of the cycle until ER and batching embryo(s) 🤞 I’ll be on Menopur and Fyremadel 💉

it’s not so much patience that is the issue in the waiting periods it’s the worry. There is a drop off at every stage. So you collect your eggs and you know how many they got when you leave the clinic after egg retrieval. Then you get a call the next day to find out how many eggs were fertilised and generally that number goes down from the number of eggs collected and then you have to wait another 4 days to find out how many fertilised eggs made it to blastocyst/embryo stage, and again the numbers go down. It’s incredibly emotionally draining coz you’re rooting for every one of those eggs/embryos coz to you any one of them could be your potential future child.
So like Naz said it’s really important to be prepared for that and to mind your mental health during the process and to have a support system. Do nice things to treat yourself and to distract yourself.

Awww that makes sense! The fear of the unknown would be hard. I am going in for my first scan today. I thought I would be staring over the weekend but it’s go time now. Hopefully if my scan goes well I will start my stims tonight and the waiting game begins.
looks like we are close together for this process 💜 hope you’re doing okay xx

best of luck!! You got this!!!

How’s everyone’s cycle going? ♥️ I had my egg collection on Monday, day 5 tomorrow and another lab update… this week from egg retrieval to now has been worse than the whole injections days! Anxiety levels + hormones pumped 🎢

Egg Transfer is this morning 🥚💕 I am gassed!! I think having the ability to watch my embryos develop has been helpful for the nerves. Everything has been amazing but I think my nerves will kick in the tww!
Good luck with your update 🪄

Best of luck today girls!!

Thanks so much!!! I'm so blessed my fresh transfer took! My BHCG was 1300 so 🙏🏾 for twins but won't find out until my first scan.
thanks everyone for your kind words and well wishes. I know it’s a long road ahead, but at least the initial is looking positive xx✨✨✨

/ I hope your cycles are going great. Sending you all the love and light in my heart and positive vibes ✨✨✨

Congrats! That’s a big HCG reading! So delighted for you and praying everything goes smoothly xx

Oh that’s an amazing beta!!! Congrats enjoy every moment!!!

I’m really only getting started on this cycle as my period was delayed so just on the pill now for another week or so. I don’t know why but it’s making me really sick which I never had on the pill before! Hoping for lots of lovely embryos before Christmas and a successful transfer in the new year 🤞🏼

🪄🪄 Praying for you that you are blessed with beautiful embryos for Christmas and a sticky New Year xx
