Inactive father
Ladies I need opinions. My daughter's donor is MIA . He has been to one appointment and I haven't talked to him in months. Her Godparents and I both agree that if he isn't there now he shouldn't be there at all. I don't want her to have mine or her dad's last name because I want nothing to do with someone who wants nothing to do with us . BUT I did get connected with someone again who is on an extended vacation. And won't be home for a while but his family will help . Who should she have the last name of ?

I would 100% give the child my last name. If the person on vacation married me and adopted my child then I would consider using their name but definitely not before doing those two things.
