My baby has a cold and a cough and is crying inconsolably for the last few hours, is this normal with illness?

My baby had covid at 3 months old. She cried for a bit but we gave her Tylenol to help her sleep it off.

It seems typical but you can always call the dr’s office and ask them.
Depending on how old the baby is you may be able to give some tylenol but nothing else except homeopathic cold medicines (also depends on age as most are 2mos and up).

Have you tried taking them outside or giving a bath? One piece of advice I keep in my back pocket is if a baby won’t stop crying get them outside or in some water. If that doesn’t help I’d call the ped

It can be id try a lukewarm bath and some Tylenol and lots of cuddles

My LO has had a terrible cold this past week. The best thing I’ve found to settle her is bundling her up in her pram suit and getting out in her pram in the fresh air for a walk. It really calms her down and she’s been getting really good long naps too. I think the cold air helps clear her airways.
That and the Calpol plug in has been a game changer for nighttime!

If it gets worse I would call doctors , my baby had a bad cough a couple weeks ago, then went to a cold then vomiting started etc, ended up in A&E for 3 days on the trot as turned out she caught a viral infection that is apparently going round at the moment and had to stay in overnight with fluids going into her so just keep an eye out, better safe than sorry! plenty of calpol and a trip to doctors if you’re paranoid xx
