Seasonal cold virus
Advice needed!
My 4 months old baby has been poorly with what I believe to be a viral seasonal cold. Extremely congested since Friday night and she started coughing a little bit but not persistently. I think I bought an entire pharmacy in regards to products "safe for babies" so my question is for mamas who had been through this, how long were your babies poorly for before the congestion went away and did it get any worse after day 3-4? This is heartbreaking seeing my lil one in such a state! Any tips and advice are very welcome 🤒😷🤧 TIA

Calpol plug ins / Olbus oil and a snot sucker !
Mine took 10 days to get better! Calpol and calpol saline nose stuff and snufflerub you can get it in boots lots of wake ups at night due to her cough but if your worries go to gp I went so they could just check little ones chest and make sure she was ok as worried! Made me feel better knowing her chest was clear etc
I used cotton pads and warm water to wipe nose so it didn’t hurt her aswell and lots of sleep in day if she wanted to sleep. Feeding was tricky but little feeds every 2/3 hours worked for us
My little one has been extremely congested for 10 days now so hoping it is over soon as it's starting to affect her eating as she struggles to breathe through her nose even though we use a snot sucker
Thank you, it is horrendous, I've got saline drops, spray, aspirator, nose sucker thingie but she goes hysterical now when I try to get near her nostrils, she won't let me retrieve her congestion, it's a constant battle! My god, I thought the sleep regression was bad 😔...this is worse!!😷
We are on day 11. He seems to be OK in himself but has snot constantly pouring out of his nose. We’ve been using the Calpol plug in as he can get a bit panicky when he wakes congested in the morning.
same, she wakes up panicking when she can't breathe through nose.. she's not quite grasped the mouth breathing yet..😞
