Getting out bath
For about 3 months now, my little lady HATES getting out the bath, every single day its a screaming match, and I hate it, I've tried everything, heating on, dressed in bathroom, dry hair before leaving bathroom, layers of towels, skin to skin cuddles, earlier bedtime, toys for distraction
theres more I've tried but I'm at a loss.
Its really getting to me cause hardly a peaceful bedtime with her screaming every evening, she's blw so wipes don't really cut it like a soak in the bath does
Anyone elses lo the same? Or was, and what you found worked?

My daughter was the same until she was about 3 months old. Absolutely screamed the house down after every bath but now she loves themš
Could you move bath time to the morning? To save the upset before bed?
The loudest rattle you can find combined with singing and dancing.... that worked for us, as well as colder water, we start her on 35C, she hates warmer

Could be all too much in the wake window. Could you have dinner earlier and have the bath earlier?
Mine is the same! The only thing that works for us is distraction! Abnoxious singing and dramatic dances! Then pop him on the boob as soon as we've dressed him. Works like a charm!
I'll try a cooler bath thats one thing I haven't tried, maybe it'll make the change less sudden, she settles soon as she's on boob, but from bath, nappy, vest and sleepsuit its inconsolable crying/screaming
I've tried an earlier dinner and bath, but there wasn't any change in terms of getting out of the bath, also it doesn't really work in terms of scheduling as have 6 year old too, and as ebf too, I can't be in kitchen sorting stuff out 3 times a day as he's missing out on so much of my time anyway
tried that also for a bout 0.1 second that works then nothing, the boob settles her straight away too, but its the nappy and getting dressed that makes her sound so distressed
My LO used to scream getting out of the bath, until I started emptying the majority of the water out and letting her lie in the very shallow bath and have a splash and emptying it fully before getting her out. I think she just enjoyed the bath so much and the sudden change in temp was too much when I was getting her out! I still cover her with a Muslin cloth too, so she stays warms
My little boy loves a bath but can get really screamy when the drying and dressing process starts. Iāve found itās when heās over stimulated or itās too close to bed time and heās tired. Xx
first time in 3 months, no screaming for getting dressed! Cooler bath definitely helped tonight, so THANKYOU ā¤ļø
wohooo, Im so happy for you! It was my niece who preferred cooler water and now at 18yo she still hates hot showers š¤£
